After cutting the cable, and installing an OTA antennae which by the way was impressed with the amount of stations that were available. I still wanted the ability to supplement some shows I was not able to get. So i purchased the ROKU 3, setup was easy and the results were great, it was actually a lot faster than my BluRay player which only had Netflix. Among the hundreds if not thousands of choices the usual channels Netflix, HuluPlus, Amazon Prime are there. There are a bunch of channels that are free but there is also a lot of ones that are not, so read before blindly accepting. Unfortunately if you cut the cable or dish, some of the channels require a subscription to one of those type of services before you can view all or part of the content. Best of luck to you if you decide to go this route.

I bought this about 2 months ago after a ton of thinking about buying it. I am so glad I did. It's amazing!! Very easy to use and I especially love the headphones! The only part I don't like is I never get to use it because my daughter and husband are always on it. I might have to get another one! I do wish there was a keyboard to use during setup. This is very annoying because it takes forever.

Easy and Saves Money!

My husband and I purchased the RoKu to help save money about a month ago. It has been excellent. The set up was super easy and it is also very easy to use. It has been a bit of an adjustment not have a "guide" to scroll though when you are not sure what you want to watch. Once you get used to using the RoKu and searching it is not bad at all. There are a couple shows from Disney Jr. that our 4 year old misses but we have found replacements with new options. So far, we love it.
