Some things in life are free. Not the Roku

I returned this product within about 30 minutes of opening the box.
Easy to setup and install, and easy to to take down and pack back up.
There is no content worth watching that is free, and you have to pay for an app if you want to stream your own content through the roku.
Bought a Google Chromecast instead, for a fraction of the price, and way more features.

The Roku was a slam dunk to set up and has worked flawlessly for my tie in to Netflix. I've been enjoying Deep Space Nine for the past two weekends (needed to go back and view my favorite Star Trek).

Our only digital entertainment at home was a laptop and Netflix. We didn't have a TV and didn't want expensive cable. Then someone gave us a free TV, we purchased a Roku and WOW - there is just an amazing amount of good viewing material available for free, or cheap.
Netflix streams beautifully on the Roku. The History Channel, YouTube, kids channels, news, etc are all there for the viewing. Facebook is also on Roku but there is a login issue that prevents it from working. I did a quick search and found this is a problem for others as well. Not sure if the problem is with Facebook or Roku, but I don't really care about that feature anyway.
In short, for about the price of 1-2 months of cable TV you can own a Roku and watch scads of high quality entertainment for FREE!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this and I think it is a wonderful piece of electronic gear. I use this right now for netflix and it is great to use. It has a forward and reverse that really great. I let everyone I know about this.

It seems to produce vertical lines on my TV screen that I don't get with my HD antennae. I should have put the money toward a smart TV.

Works exceptionally well and very easy set up. Enabled me to get rid of the costly movie channels with a lot of alternatives. Wish I would have done this earlier and am now going to buy a 2nd one.
