Tons of entertainment

I used to have an Apple TV and a Sony Google tv. To fulfill my entertainment needs I had to use both products. After a while the Apple TV got boring to use like not enough channels and great if you have any ios products. My sony google TV was good but not great. After useage it be came very buggy and slow. After looking at videos about the roku 3 on YouTube and getting my best buy rewards certificate I than decided to head to best buy and purchase the roku 3. Taking it out of the box it's really light small but does not feel cheap. The remote is the best remote I have ever used. It's like a Nintendo wii remote that also functions as a remote. You can also plug in any headphone into the remote and enjoy your content without bothering anyone who may be sleeping nearby. There are tons of channels available and still in one month I haven't discovered them all yet. I highly recommend the roku 3 over the Apple TV and definitely over any google TV set top boxes.

I've had this for about 2 months now and I am very happy with it. It works very well, is easy to setup and use, and has a good HD picture. I am happy with my purchase so far!

We've had our Roku 2 months. We've had a smart tv for 2 years but adding the Roku made it so much better. It's faster, we get more channels and the remote is genius in it's simplicity. We really love this thing.

Great way to access tons of movies, TV etc...

Bought the Roku-3 mainly for HBO-GO, but of course there is so much more.  The setup is easy, the interface looks great, the download time is very good and the picture quality is crystal clear.  It's the best product out there, even better than Apple TV.  Only reason to go with Apple is if you're already in their web.

Depends on what want in a Streaming Device

There are numerous products on the market that allow users to stream video and audio services. Some products are less expensive but have fewer features, while others that cost more allow more customization and more apps (although the majority of the apps will have very narrow audience).  We have both an AppleTV and a Roku 2XS.  Both were comparable in price (although the Roku was a little cheaper because it was bundled with an HDMI cable at Sam's), are easy to set up,  and easy to use. There are things I like about both, and features on one that are not available on the other.  Apple's Mirroring feature works well with the iPad and I really wish Roku had a similar app that is as easy to use (Twonky works, but not as well nor is it as easy to use).  The AppleTV, however, is very proprietary in what apps makes available. AppleTV does not have Pandora or Amazon, both of which I use regularly (that's where the Mirroring feature becomes important). 
I dropped satellite TV service in favor of a $59 antenna for local HD channels and two streaming devices.  I pay only a Netflix and Amazon Prime subscription and occasionally rent a movie from Vudu.  I'm saving a bundle and haven't missed  all those shopping channels for one moment!!!

Easy to used and save me a lot money, I drop CABLE

Easy to install, friendly user interface, great support.
A lots of free and interesting channel I drop Cable and save more then $125 monthly. 
Now with free channel like CNN, History, Discovery, Pandora, Facebook and YouTube (many more), plus with paid services like AMAZON Plus, Netflix and HBO to GO, I have more channel options for less than $25 mount.

Cut the cable!

I got my roku3 1 month ago, after I got an e-mail that my T.V. bill was going up another 3%. I was really scared about cutting everything off thought I'd be left with nothing! But I was wrong, there are so many channles to go through that are free. I'm coming across older T.V. shows that I have missed or were taken off the air that were really, really good and a lot of things I didn't even know where out there. I think it was the best for me and would tell anybody to give it a try.

I am very happy with Roku 3. Its excellent in quality, clarity, and the over all experience when watching Netflix/Hulu. Love the colorful previews of shows, easy of moving between features such as movies/tv shows, etc.
There is only 1 downfall. You have to replace the batteries in the remote control every 2 weeks or more!! This is very costly and frustrating. Wish the battery life was better, that is why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
