It all started a few months ago when I wanted to dump my cable provider and its high monthly cost. I started looking at the alternatives - Roku, Apple, Chromecast and others. I chose Roku because it offered the most for the money. I was startled by size of the 'box' and the ease of connection and use. Technology today is often so complicated but NOT Roku. The most tech illiterate person can rest easy with Roku - the connection is a snap - basically plug and use. If you can use a TV remote you'll love Roku's remote - so simple and easy to use. Then, there are the channels that will provide close to a lilfetime of viewing.
I am thrilled with Roku and all that it offers. I'm getting way more content than the cable/satellite companies provide and paying a fraction of what I paid them (I subscribe to Netflix -$8/mo versus $134), I'm kicking myself for not getting it sooner. Thanks for making such a great product.

I've been using the Roku 3, the first streaming device I've ever used, for about a month now and I love it. Setup was quick and easy. The unit is efficient and fast. I love not having to point the remote at the TV. Video quality is generally excellent. The selection of channels is large and diverse. However I would like to see two upgrades. A watchlist option for all subscribed channels would be very useful for times when I want to return to video or set of videos but can't recall which channel they were on. Too, a folder structure for "My Channel", so similar channels can be grouped (e.g. Movie Channels, News Channels, etc.), would make navigating much easier for those of us who subscribe to many channels.

None of my DVDs, Tvs or TiVo could help me tap into streaming content. This was a nice solution and rounded out the viewing content in the kitchen where none of the TiVo hardware exists. It's a bit balky at moving around the menus and I don't see search capabilities, but when you point it to a show to watch, it does what it is supposed to do.

Easy to Operate

Although I have owned this for a few weeks, I found it easy to operate. However, it's one more control to add to the pile. (Directv, TV Remote, & Roku). It is, however, the only way for us to obtain "Acorn" TV service. This is the main reason for our purchase.

My wife Loves Korean Soap Drama. From Hulu, DramaFever and Kdrama, $8.99 Ea . and my wife is happy. No big Cable Bill., I had Bought a Viszio one it would lock up all the time . Took it back Best Buy And bought a Roku 3 What a nices unit

Love This Thing

Only had this for a couple weeks, but we love it. So much better than hooking up laptop to TV. Being able to watch Netflix with a remote is so much better and we love that we can link up laptop to TV to watch U-Tube videos. Still learning all the great features this thing has.
