Chose the Roku 3 because of the features and it doesn't disappoint. Using it for Netflix, YouTube and other channels and it beats a smart tv in speed and functionality

We did not even know a device like this existed until we discovered it at Best Buy! We thought of the concept plenty of times when we wanted to watch AmazonInstantVideo, Netflix or YouTube on one of our TV's that did not have our Sony PS3 hooked up to them. Now we own one ROKU 3, one ROKU 1 and are looking to purchase another ROKU 3 to give our PS3 a much deserved break. We LOVE this device and think it is one of the most innovative products out there in home entertainment.

Roku is a premier alternative to high costs an one size fits all programming associated with cable and satellite providers. Having tried both, I don't miss anything. In fact, the savings we will realize this year alone has allowed us to upgrade our home internet speed an purchase two inexpensive tablets. We watch what we want and pay for what we want at a price that we can afford. If you want to experience personal satisfaction without being force fed programming you don't desire or need at a price you can afford on your terms...then ROKU !

This is my first Roku and I didn't think I would be this happy. I was tired of connecting my laptop to my TV to watch movies. Roku fixed that, and so much more. The free content is outstanding. I love all the music stations, PBS, news, and tons of other channels. And, I love the ability to rent movies from several choices of providers.
The best thing is how easy the menus are to navigate. It's just very intuitive. (It's almost like it's reading my mind).
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased my Roku about a month ago on after a recommendation from my nephew. I love it. We do not have cable or dish and most times just go to the video store and rent. I have Amazon prime for my kindle so have many videos to stream for free, also have a Netflix account. What makes this the best however is all the other pay per view options. I watch Dallas Buyer's Club the other night, on the newest addition to channels M-GO. The time and cost of renting from a store and having to get the movie back the next day is now history. Also, renting cable shows we have never seen yes they are several seasons old, but we never saw them so they are new to us. Cost is minimal. Needs broadband internet and a HMDI cable. Easy to hook up and run.

Best purchase for the TV ever. It works great and is very fast compared to a nintendo wii system. The menus are easy to navigate
