its good, small and lite so you can take it anywhere, nice to have the phone app so you can use your phone as a remote. and i like the headphone jack in the remote so i can watch a program without disturbing anyone. The amazon prime isn't as good as netflix but its ok. overall the Roku is well worth the money in my eyes.

Powerful Little Box

I've been very impressed at how quickly I can navigate among apps and within each app. The selection of apps is also very robust. One of the neatest features is that I can search a movie or TV show title in Roku and it will show me which apps have that movie/show. Well worth the cost.

Weak wifi reception. I have a very strong wifi signal and all else works fine. Roku would not work.

Sorry, Apple! I love you, but Roku rocks the house

I bought Apple TV and installed it, but unbeknownst to me my daughters were giving me Roku at the same time. Out of respect for their effort, I installed it and OH MY WORD how much better the experience was, is, and continues to be! Setup was far faster and easier, and the remote is just fantastic by comparison. I'm a full-on Apple connoisseur, have all their products and love them, but Roku SO FAR OUTSHINES Apple TV its ridiculous. For the same price!

I gave the device 4 stars because it does what its supposed to do very well. But somehow I thought it would provide a browser style internet access for any additional streaming content. It doesn't, so I returned it.

I bought my ROKU 3 from amazon for my older tv (non HD ) and with a adaptor I was able to connect and it works great. Plus when I do get an HD tv It won't have to be a smart HD tv . I can just move the Roku over to the new set. That makes it a great buy and down the road.

Former Roku players didn't require a credit card, didn't require a computer, and didn't leave unrequested charges against my card without warning. The benefits of the Roku 3 do not outweigh the increased hassle.
