Great little box with tons of tv viewing options

I love this Roku internet tv system. The only con I have is it sometimes freezes up and I have to unplug power cord to clear. It would be 5 Stars but I'm leaning toward 5 stars would be perfect.

The best device of it's kind on the market

I bought Roku3 two month ago and I am very satisfied for what I get for the money overall. Roku3 is lag-free and smooth. It has many popular private and public channels like YouTube, Pandora, Vevo, Hulu plus and many more. the best feature of Roku3 that you will not get from other devices is the private headphone jack on the remote which makes watching videos and music possible at night. there are only a couple of negative points that Roku should address. first, the media formats supported by Roku is limited to mp4 and mkv files. It will be really nice for Roku to add flv, avi, wmv, mov etc. second negative point is that the remote is very small and it doesn't have a keyboard which will make typing hard ad time consuming. You have the option to use applications to control your roku and use their keyboard to type but a physical keyboard on the remote is a much better option. Sony NSZ-GS7 has a remote with a cool keyboard on one side and a touch pad on the other side of the
remote and believe the remote on the sony box is superior to Roku except for the privae headphone jack. Overall, Roku is the best device of it's kind currently in the market.

I am not a big TV watcher, and simply don't like the what cable has to offer. So I bought this Roku 3 last month with Netflix and am getting a kick watching older films and documentaries.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased the Roku3 for use with PLEX. It's really the only thing I use it for. The PLEX app runs well on it. As for the Roku design, The Bluetooth remote feature is great. It means one less device on top of the table just so the remote will work. On the negative side, Roku should NOT force owners to register with a CC# just to use the device. This is WRONG on so many levels. I deleted it as soon as I was registered, however one never knows if a record of it isn't kept by Roku. I have no intention of buying anything to watch on Roku.

The only device I need!

We canceled cable and bought a Roku. After paying $100 per month for TV we didn't watch, my wife and decided to get different devices to try including Apple TV, Windows Media Center, and the Roku. Out of all the devices, the most versatile by far was the Roku. Netflix, Amazon Prime, and most importantly Plex to stream our downloaded content make this device complete for us. We use the Windows Media Center every once and a while to watch live TV using an antenna (Superbowl), but the Roku is used everyday.

I received an email requesting that I review this product. The Roku three is just what I expected. I purchased it because of the faster microprocessor. I understand they have a nearly equivalent model at half the price I paid, but it probably has a slower processor. There were nearly no instructions, The setup was delayed because I did not have an HDMI cable. The requirement of this cable should be clearly stated on the box to speed up the process. Once I had the cable the setup was quick.
