Misleading

We bought this product thinking it would give us fun and easy access to many shows and connect us to the type of entertainment we enjoy.
We are very disappointed. Most shows that are highlighted by the roku involve a membership with a delivery partner such as dish network etc. If we had those we would not have needed the roku device.
The show we have found, such as the History channel, never completely load stop part way through, have to be reloaded so a 30 minute episode can take an hour to watch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am a first time user. So far everything is fine. There is a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to use it's features, but so far I'm doing fine. Have only had to contact support once and they answered my questions.

So easy a 7 year old can use it

I cut the cable about a month ago and finally migrated to Roku. Very happy with the service and ease of use. My 7 year old daughter has even gotten proficient at watching her PBS Kids and Netflix Kids shows. Would like access to more free for inexpensive channels, but that's a provider issue, not Roku.

A real tech gem

It works so well, it is chaining us to our TV! Wish we had bought one sooner. It is perfect for folks who live in rural areas far from the big (and more expensive) cinemas. I think I am gushing over my ROKU......

A month into using the Roku 3 and I'm very pleased with it's performance.
Install was easy; does what it claims; Lot of channels to choose from but only some are useful.

Entertainment/Relaxation Without The Cable Bill

I bought this to replace my cable bill, and cut overhead costs by $80/month. I'm very happy with the outcome. I have access to most everything I have an interest in right there on my TV. And, with the new YouTube "send to TV" option, I can search on the computer and watch on my TV!

Don't miss my cable at all!

My husband and I got sick of cable offerings and commercials so cancelled cable and ordered a Roku, and a small antenna. Now we are very happily watching old favorites and new on the Roku channels, whenever we want to instead of abiding by a network schedule. The small antenna (Leaf) works well enough that we can bring in local channels, more than we need really, for up to the minute news or whatever. I don't think we would ever willingly go back to cable.
