I have now had the Roku 3 for about 6 weeks. What a great little device it is. I combined my purchase with my Amazon Prime membership and there is so much quality free stuff to watch it could take you years to watch it all. I would give it 5 stars if it had a way to use and internet browser. I little pricey compared to Google Chromecast but with the addition of Amazon Prime well worth it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We had problems (slow speed and dropped signal) running Netflix and Amazon via our Blueray players (two different mfg.) We talked to our internet and cable provider and they said it was a Netflix and Amazon issue. We switched our internet and cable provider and had the same issue. A neighbor mentioned they had the same issue and they solved it with a Roku. We bought one and everything has worked perfectly since we installed it. It appears that the internet and cable providers really do not want streaming to work seamlessly.

I live on an extremely limited income and as I would rather starve than not pay a bill , I can not order cable or satellite television service . I have DSL and was using my Note Book to watch Netflix on my TV , but having to get up and down constantly to keep it streaming and having to plug my computer into the TV was really quite annoying . Although necessary if I wanted to watch a movie . Now I have continuous streaming and so much convenience . Plus I get some other programming free on my Roku . What a great investment it has been for me .

Great little device

Who knew it would be so easy to install and program? Who knew you could watch so much more on your TV than before? Now, instead of viewing on the computer, I can watch all my Netflix videos, Amazon Instant Video, HBO GO, YouTube and much, much more on my TV. What did I ever do without this? Now I'll tell you how I REALLY feel.......I LOVE IT!!!!

The BEST alternative to TV and Cable

There is a reason for the one star that must be read.....My older projection screen T.V. has an HDMI input but unfortunately would not support the visual end of things. (H.D. quality on the t.v is so good though I'm not buying another t.v. just to support the Roku) I tried 2 different units, but the problem was the t.v. Took it back and bought a Roku 2 with the input cables and it is just fine. Would have liked the 3 though as it is faster with better options.
