This is a wonderful plug and play device. Easy set up and nice streaming of your movies and tv. About the only complaint is that I would like a few more features on the remote. Great device.

Roku 3 better than Apple TV!

Great streaming device... very simple to use and you can do more with this than an Apple TV (like plug-in a USB drive or SD card to listen to music or watch videos on the Roku!) While Amazon Instant Video and M-GO work flawlessly, many of the other "channels" have plenty of room for improvement. Hulu Plus and TWC-TV, for example, will play five seconds of a video and then stop to buffer for a few minutes before playing another short blip. Not a problem with Amazon or M-GO, so it can't be the internet connection.

There are a lot of channels reported on this site for the Roku, but for a good amount of them you have to also have a subscription to cable or satellite. If all of that content was available (even for a fee) without having to pay a cable or satellite company, it would be much better.
The UI is super easy to use, and probably my favorite feature: the headphones on the remote, makes this awesome for any family. You have access to Netflix, Amazon, Redbox and all of their content in a very easy to use package. Add in Plex to connect to a media server and this has made my home media setup much easier to translate to the average user.
I wish there was a way to reboot it from the UI and not using the super-secret remote sequences.

After thinking my streaming issues were with my ISP or Netflix, a friend said he switched over to Roku and never had an issue since. Love actually being able to add new apps/channels (without jailbreaking). Just wish it would let me use my TV remote like the Apple TV did. Going back to two remotes is a pain point.

I am still discovering the neat features of the Roku. My husband and I purchased it to use in our home gym. It is easy to use and has a ton of products to choose from.

We set our TV on HDM1 #1 and it goes to Roku. This way we can get Netflix. We are enjoying Netflix movies. We don't have a Smart TV. Just a flat screen 40 inch Sony TV. This is why we bought the Roku.

Have been using our Roku 3 for a month now and simply love it. The set up took but a few minutes and we were up and running. Finding and subscribing to channels is super easy and very convenient. Have had no streaming issues even though we are using a G wireless router, not an N. In the short time we have had this unit it as changed our viewing habits forever.

Had the Roku for about a month now and love it! Just wish it had a Songza app.
