Handles all my viewing needs and even more. Am happy that it can also play movies from a usb connected hard drive. The streaming through wi-fi does a great job, the unit is not that close to router.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great alternative to TV

we bought the Roku so that we could downgrade our expensive U-VERSE account with ATT. We used to watch Hulu and other shows on our iPads, the Roku has elevated our experience and we are saving money by downgrading our cable subscription. This was definitely worth the money.

Bought for Netflix, Amazon Prime and HBOGo and everything works perfectly. YouTube is the cherry on the top.

Easy to install, easy to use

It was time for us to move into the 21st century so we purchased the Roku 3 for online streaming. The setup and install was easy and we've been very pleased with the ease of use and many channels available. It interfaced easily with our wireless home network. Streaming speed has been great. We've experienced no problems to date.
The only thing I would have liked is to have more than only an HDMI output with other sound outputs as well. We have one older TV that only has DVI and while we have an HDMI to DVI adapter, we have no way of getting the sound from the Roku if we use that. Other than that minor point, we've been very happy with the Roku.
