Purchased our ROKU as my sister had bought one and raved about it. Since there is never anything worthwhile to watch on cable anymore we tried the ROKU...We love it should not have waited so long to but it!

Easy to set up

The Roku was easy to set up and relatively easy to use. The search mechanism is extremely tedious and discourages me from watching more than I would if there were an easier way. I was hoping to be able to see my Netflix queue and navigate from there.

I am happy I ditched the Dish...

I bought my Roku 3 a few months ago and I was a little bit worried about ditching my satellite service. I am glad I made the switch. I paired my Roku with Netflix and Amazon instant. I get the shows I want to watch and I am saving an avg $70 a month. The Roku 3 is quick and very easy to use. I thought it was going to be the size of a laptop, but I was way wrong. It's about the size of a hockey puck. I plan to buy 2 more for my other TV's. I'm all done getting ripped off by cable companies..Looking at you Time Warner, Comcast, Directv.......

Good Content

For the most part I really like the Roku. There are tons of channels that are available and it seems like new ones get added regularly. The main problem that it has is how the channels are listed as free. While there are many that are in fact free, plenty of them either have a fee to watch content, or require a separate subscription to a cable/satellite provider to use. Most of which don't actually tell you this until you add them to your channel list and then try to watch their content. For the most part though, the Roku 3 is a pretty media service.

New to the streaming video

Only issue was not purchasing the cable to go with the device. Had to back to the store. After that, installation and channel selection was simple. I really like the exercise and food / wine channels.

Multitude of Channels

I have a smart TV, Also Internet access on my DVD player and WII. I still added a Roku after hearing about their increased selection of Wed channel sites. I was happy to see the results- Lots more channels than all my other accesses combined. Also the picture quality is much better than viewing on any of my other devices.
