Awesome!! Totally Satisfied!

I'm a cheapskate at heart, and it wasn't easy for me to spend $99 on a stream box...but I'd already purchased one for another TV a while back that retailed for $49 and I wasn't really very happy with it.  It wasn't responsive and took a long time to load shows on Netflix.
So I made the plunge and bought the new Roku.  WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE.  Lightning fast response from the remote, and loading speeds seem 10x faster.  
If you're on the fence...go for it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great to use and has so many avenues for movies and tv shows. Cant wait to see more television additions. Love the shows Revolution and Arrow.. Seems like there is a commitment to getting shows to the viewer at a reasonable time.

After having the Roku3 for a couple of weeks, I bought a Roku1 for another tv. Truly enjoy them. I watch more tv through the Roku channels than I do on Directv which I'm going to discontinue when the contract expires. I recommended it to my sister and she now has one also. I originally wanted one so I could access AcornTV. Now I watch other channel offerings also.

Fast processor. We have only 1.5G internet speed and have no issues streaming! Saves alot of money compared to Satellite or cable.

This is one of the greatest purchases I've made in a long time. It's so easy to set up and use. All of my favorite online streaming channels are available....even the ones that I didn't expect! There are so many channels to chose from and they have very user friendly interfaces. So awesome!

Not sure what's the fuss

I bought this roku 3 a tried it for a few day but don't see why it's any better than the hdmi cord i have connecting to my movie laptop and my lenovo computer remote. I thought I would get a lot of extra channels that I would want. Fox news for example. It's just a few pieces from Fox news that I can stream anyway. There are a lot of channels that you wouldn't want. Kind of like the cable channels that you never watch. Sent it back but maybe I missed something.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am so happy that I received the Roku for Christmas. I am enjoying all that is available through the many different programs offered. And I'm saving money with a much smaller package from my satelite providor.

Lower cable bill for me!

I purchased the Roku about a month ago and for the most part really like it.  I purchased it after having my cable bill rise sharply after promotions expired.  We are at the point in my family where we don't watch a lot of television and only watch a handful of channels.  I no longer want to pay for 500 channels when 10 is more than enough!  I was pleasantly surprised to get my bill and it was $75 lower.  :))))))
Say all that, I do miss the ease of flipping through the channels.  I suspect that I will get better at switching through channels and programs as I get more familiar with the process.  My kids already seem to have it down!  My ONLY complaint about the Roku so far is that I don't like the method of entering search terms--scrolling through the alphabet to spell is very tedious.  I get that one of the selling features of the Roku is the simplicity of design.  I would prefer the option to upgrade to a full keyboard on the remote--much like texting on a phone. Hopefully Roku will add this feature in the future...I would gladly pay for a new remote to be able to type rather than scroll...o...n...e...l...e...t...t...e...r...a...t...a...t...i...m...e...
