Options to cable and Netflix DVD

We have been using the Roku 3 for a couple of months. Our family watches TV primarily for live sports, so there really isn't a way that the Roku can replace cable for us. But if we weren't tied to ESPN and Fox Sports, it would be easier. There are tons of channels. We've really enjoyed some of the shows on the History channel as well as Ted Talks and others. We are looking to replace our Netflix DVD service with either Netflix or Hulu Plus streaming. But we wanted to wait until after the Olympics to before we setup the free trial so we could actually use it. I like the Roku 3 because I use the Ethernet interface and don't have to rely on Wi-Fi, which is naturally more flaky. Overall, very glad for the purchase.

Easy to Use

I bought mine the middle of January to quite honestly replace cable TV. I have high speed internet, so Roku does give me a lot of options. However some require a TV provider, which I think is ridiculous. It would not connect to my wireless cable modem gateway, so I had to use a physical cable. My computer and printer both are wireless.

Canceled my movie channels on cable when I saw how great Roku worked for me. Love watching movies on Netflix and TV series. Saving a lot of money and watching more movies of my choice.

Almost ready to cut the cable tv chord. Great choices. Still requires some subscriptions for certain channels.

If you have Netflix Streaming, and /or Amazon Prime. THis player is a must have. Good speed, nice menu's and great remote. love that you can listen with the remote headphones late at night.

I have some questions however, For the last couple of days it hasn't worked at all and my Husband thinks it is our wi -fi. When I check on my IPnone Settings, it shows that it is locked and asks for a password. I don't know what password it want. I have been trying all of the password I normally use. Please let me know how to re-start the roku! I need an option to redo my password linked to the Password window. I have missed out on seeing Nebraska. I knew I had 2 days to watch it. I feel asleep during 1/2 of the Movie, but then when I tried to watch the other half within my two days, roku wouldn't LET ME IN BECAUSE OF THE password ISSUE.Please HELP ME! I have a new keyboard which I'm not used to, so if this message is kind of squirelly, please forgive me.
