Making the most of TV time

I am so pleased with my Roku 3! I am now much more in control of what I watch. Have discovered many new series! So easy to search Netflix, Amazon Prime, HuluPlus! Great picture quality, no freezing, and a wide choice of channels, something for everyone!

This is great!  I only have two complaints / suggestions:  1) that you could turn it off and on - it's always on, but that confuses my hdmi autoswitch.  I hear they have other autoswitchers which will work better and allow one device to be always on.  And 2) It seems like you could tie it better to an account where you could input all your user names and passwords for the various services on a computer, and have the automatically sync with the roku.  The overall management of the roku would be better on a computer.

Lots of online content to choose from. Has a nice interface that's easy to navigate around. The Roku3 was very easy to set up. The only thing that it lacks is the ability to play more video formats with a directly connected USB device. It will only play mkv movies. And when directly connected, there seems to be a problem with the audio not playing. I believe it's unable to transcode the audio. But to get around this, I just installed Plex on my PC, connect my USB device to my PC and then stream my mkv movies to the Roku3. Plex is a free download and will transcode the audio okay. Maybe a future firmware update can fix this and add support for more video formats?

Only one problem

I love my Roku.  Not having cable or satellite limited my viewing choices.  Now I enjoy many programs. My only complaint is that I can't sign up to  access certain channels because my internet provider is not on their drop down list of providers. My internet provider is "Clear".

There are many problems with the Roku when using Drama Fever. Sometimes it starts to load subtitles but does not finish and goes back to the previous screen and it is impossible to watch that particular episode with the Roku. This is an issue that needs to be fixed immediately.
It also freezes at the end of episodes meaning you have to go back to the beginning and start again to get to the next episode when it is supposed to go there automatically.
If Roku can fix its problems so it works like it is supposed to it will be a great product, but as of now Roku has many annoying issues like these to deal with.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
