I purchased my Roku 3 from Best Buy about 2 weeks ago. Before I purchased the Roku I had been using the apps provided with my smart TV. I found the fact that now all my apps were in one place, had a very easy to navigate user interface and was very easy to install were just what I needed. I really enjoy my Roku 3 and all the family can use the remote without any help from me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have always used Apple (for everything). And decided to try Roku when I had problems with the stability of Apple as well as limited content.
I'm 87 yrs old and don't need complications and I find the Roku remote much easier to use. I thought I'd miss mirroring but it was always difficult and rarely used. I don't miss it.
I like the Roku app and use it on my ipad, especially when I need to type in something. The only criticism is the lack of search on the App. I have to go to Roku remote.

I really like my Roku. The creative display of possible shows to watch makes deciding easier than on my Apple TV. I like that Roku includes a description of the program and short visuals illustrating bits of the show. I like the ease of adding subtitles when needed.
I do not like the location of the Roku ‘search’ mode. Also, it’s easier to maneuver through the search mode on the Apple TV than on the Roku.
I would like it if I could delete from my list things I’ve watched but didn’t like. I rate them, but then they still appear on ‘Recently Watched.’
I think more films should be able to be streamed, but this is a Netflix issue and not a Roku one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this little guy, the Roku 3 a while back and I don't know how I ever got along WITHOUT it! I'm ditching DirecTV! I know most of Roku's programming isn't ''live TV'' but it's got a whole lot more goin' for it than that, with endless movies, tv shows, and more! My "Rocco"s here to stay!

I bought Roku 3 over Thanksgiving and been using it but I can never find anything to watch because its either too old or you have to subscribe to a service like netflix or the much hated HuluPlus. I am hopeful that at some point it pays off & I haven't wasted my money. PLus it does have a problem freezing then resets.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
