Very nice all around

I bought this on an impulse (which is just a terrible idea) but I am really happy I did. Overall I am pretty pleased with it. I use it all the time in place of cable tv (which you're paying for a bunch of nothing, in my opinion). At least with this I can pay for select applications to tailor my own specific tastes and interest (but there's lots of free ones too!) I also REALLY love how the sound can bypass the tv into headphones attached to the controller! I am a night owl so this is a great way to keep it nice and quiet for my boyfriend while I watch shows on the Roku =D

We upgraded from an original Roku to a new model and all the inconveniences we discovered in the original are gone. No more waiting to stream, download or upgrade. It is instantly responsive and has a great selection of channels, many of which are free!

One cool little box!

Really like this little box. Brought it home and set up within 10 mins and watching movies. Already had a Netflix account. If local live channels were available would be perfect

Roku 3 is useless

I bought it a month ago. It does not stream. It downloads a selection and plays about one minute then it disconnects and starts the downloading over again. This cycle repeats over and over but never streams the full selection.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had my Roku 3 for about a month now and I must say I am thrilled with it!!! Best product to come out of the last 10 years, hands down. THIS is really what "on-demand" is all about. Easy set up, user friendly, and TONS of choices for every taste!!! I recommend Roku 3 to anyone who loves entertainment.
