Unlike cable, where you turn on the T.V. and can start watching a program, then easily switch to a different program, the Roku requires you to look through various lists and choose a program to watch. If you decide to watch something else instead, you have to start the whole process over again. Nothing is just automatically on for you to watch. It does eliminate my costly cable bill though, which is nice! You just need to decide if the automatic programs always streaming is worth the expense of cable, or if you can be "inconvenienced" by having to choose each and everything you watch.

I received this as a Christmas gift from my husband for the specific purpose of being able to watch Acorn TV on our television. I have been very pleased with the ability to watch British tv programs that are not available anywhere else, unless, of course you spend a fortune (as I have done in the past) purchasing the dvd's. The roku has the added advantage that it is much easier/faster to access online programing (Netflix, hulu) as compared with the access provided through our blue ray player.

Setting up the device was a cinch...and it is so easy to use. I imagine it will only get better as more channels are added.

Awesome product for T.V. w/o internet capabilities. Just one suggestion, add a feature to where you can stream your laptop and cellphone screen. THAT would be just awewome.

I bought this ROKU3 three month ago for my living room TV and again I bought another one ROKU3 four days back for my bed room TV. Both working nice. I am satisfied with this unit.

I love the picture quality. I haven't had a chance to download all the apps yet, however I love that I have a variety of free apps to choose from. Received it as a Christmas gift from my daughter and I love it.
