Overpriced for Streaming only

Nice device for streaming Internet based video. The LIMITED support of video standards will be the death of this device. WD devices have better support for Home streaming devices - movies converted directly to MKV play on WD, but not Roku. This should be a priority for the company

Nice GUI

I bought the Roku3 about a month ago and really think it is a great device. This interface is well thought out and simple to use. It can really make you think twice about paying that monthly cable bill ????? Only downside to the device is the interface that is written for each channel can be different for the DAC. I would like to be able to chose what surround mode to use. Reason being is that my surround system, like many other owners, does only Dolby Digital not DD+. So this is a problem to get the surround to work without having to buy a new surround processor. You have to listen only in stereo mode.

I have had the Roku 3 for about 2 months now and I am glad I got rid of the XBox 360 for this.

Great Device

I got fed up with having to attach my laptop to my TV to stream video and music. I tried using my Wii, but found the quality to be low. I was skeptical when I purchased the Roku thinking such a little device would have similar or less quality than the Wii.
Boy was I wrong! This is an amazing little device. Not to mention it's so small and portable, we can move it from room to room, but at $99 buying one for each room is very reasonable.

Simple and versatile interface

Even though I live in a rural area where no broadband is available the Roku 3 provides many other neat features for viewing movies and pictures. Previous to owning the Roku 3 I used an IPad to interface with the TV to show movies. Now the harddrive storage interfaces directly with the Roku. The Roku Media Player App recognizes many different video formats allowing direct viewing. With the Roku3 wireless interface to IPad can also be configured. Great product-Thanks

After reading several favorable reviews from Consumer Reports, I decided to add at Roku to one of our televisions. It was exceedingly simple to set up. It is a great product and I hope we get many years of service.

I bought almost two months ago and have not been disappointed with my purchase. Not only have I watched current shows and movies, but I watched movies and tv shows from my past. I love my ROKU!
