The Roku 3 has made streaming great. No delays for loading. Perfect. Only complaint is with Comcast which does not make HBO GO available with it.

Ease of use, tons of programming.

We bought this to help us get rid of cable.... it worked. Tons of programming and channels to choose from, International film & TV is one of our reasons. Now my wife can watch live Korean TV and movies. Some pay channels if live TV is all ya want but tons of free programming. It's awesome. Links to all the favorites like you tube, amazon instant, etc. it has it all....

The roku 3 is a great device. I got mine for $80 on newegg a few months ago. Unfortunately it is now collecting dust.
Ever since I purchased a chromecast with google nexus, I almost never use my Roku 3. The chrome cast with a nexus has most of the features of a roku 3 and is actually easier to use. I can also turn on my TV with chromecast, which is nice. I got the nexus and chromecast for a little over $200 so that's more than twice the cost of a roku 3.
I would say that the Roku 3 is an amazing device if you have a tight budget. Certainly better than an Apple TV (which my friend has). However if you have a bit more to spend I would look at other options.

So fast and so easy!

I got rid of my cable after this, seriously with a Time Warner Cable password you can pretty much watch whatever you want. Also it is blazing fast and streams HD without any problems whatsoever. I would definitely recommend this to any user who wants to start watching Millennial-style television. All that it needs is more channels that are Roku compatible, but they're adding stuff all the time!

I TRULY PURCHASED MY ROKU3 BECAUSE OF THE 'ACORN' STATION BECAUSE OF ALL THE ENGLISH DRAMAS, SITCOMS, ETC. THAT YOU CAN FIND NO PLACE ELSE EXCEPT ON ACORN! LOVE THE STATION, PLEASE TRY IT, AND ONLY USING A ROKU!

I cut the cord and have been using the Roku 3 for about 3 months now. I'm glad I went through with buying this over the AppleTV. The Roku is very easy to set up and very easy to use. With a computer running Plex and using the Plex channel on the Roku, you'll be able to watch/listen to almost anything, including your own media. It's been a great investment so far.

Nice.. but

I'm coming from a Western Digital Hub/Live and the overall player is great and love the access to channels. My only issue is I was so used to the player being able to handle the DTS in my MKV files I mux'd them all with just that track. Now I have to rely on Plex on a pc to be able to watch the movies.
