Easy setup to get up and running.

I bought this in an effort to wean mysef off of cable. I like the easy setup and was up and running in a few minutes. I like the movie channel options. I can utilize my Amazon Prime membership as well. I have been using the Roku a lot to go through 5 seasons of Breaking Bad and loving it. For the price it is an excellent product.

Roku Disappointment

I bought this a month ago and it is a very small device that does not occupy much space. Everything worked until the final step--had great picture but no audio. wanted to work with my surround sound. Several lengthy efforts to solve this problem failed and I sent it back thinking it was defective. I have since purchased another one locally and same problem. This time installer was able to solve audio problem with setting changes in the TV itself. So the Roku device can be a challenge but it is not defective, but too many steps required to watch a movie so will find something easier to use in my situation.

I don't really know why I agonized over cutting cable...other than to say old habits die hard. I can't believe how much my family and I enjoy watching programs that we want to watch on our schedule rather than what cable offers on their schedule. Roku 3 is a fantastic product...very easy to set up and use. Best streaming results are with high speed internet (Verizon 50/25) on step up from their entry level speed. Pick up an inexpensive indoor antenna to watch your local channels, stream everything else through Roku and you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner. Plus saving the $100/mo isn't bad either. But the best thing about Roku is the huge channel selection you'll never be bored watching TV again!

I like this product a lot. It was easy to install and I enjoy watching the streaming programs. It was a bit pricey, but overall I think it's worth it.

Roku is the bomb

We dumped cable, ROKU in combination with Netflix and Hulu has just about everything we need. No sports is the only issue, but that gives me an excuse to go to the sports bar. Only compliant is if you have more than 1 roku, you still have to sign into to all your channels individually.

i have had roku3 for about a month. i love the roku3 because it is plug and play easy to use. roku3 has more options than appletv and googletv where you haveto use your smart phone as remote. roku3 has its own remote( i do not have a smart phone). ihad a sound problem during a movie and went on-line to do a tech chat. the technician was very knowledgable and got me on track right away. i enjoyed my movie quickly and did not have to wait on the phone. i would highly recommend ruku3. i have not tried the games yet because the remote is the game controller like the wii system.
