A mighty mite!!

The Roku 3 is everything I expected and more. I continue to discover something new and different about the unit--a bonus each time. Also, I'm glad I never knew about it until now because it seems the Roku 3 offers more than the Roku 1 or Roku 2.
Finally: I did away with satellite programming and replaced it with an over the air digital antenna that brings in a great signal from 50 miles away. Number of channels? Living in Central Indiana, I get 44 stations in high definition.

I am a casual user because I live in Canada and have to pay for a lot of the channels especially the ones I have interest in or they are not available in my area. So I am not happy.

Be smart and buy a dumb tv

AV afficionados: spend your money on a really good dumb tv with an excellent picture and forget about the smarts. The roku is a better brain and much easier to upgrade than an entire tv.

LOVE IT

My position is, its cheaper than cable and until I run out of interesting things to watch I can't see any reason to pay for anything else.
Also the remote is awesome, I love that you don't have to point it at the device for it to work and when combined with my Bose headphones I can still hear it perfectly while using the vacuum, with the dishwasher running in the kitchen, or late at night when other people are sleeping.

This little box works really well. If you have Amazon Prime you can get a boatload of viewing entertainment using your Roku. Simple to use and setup is a breeze. Also, if you're thinking about dumping your cable, or satellite provider a Roku will be part of the solution. Add a t.v. antennae to access live local programming and you can save a bundle of cash.

We have had our Roku for about a month. We absolutely love it. You get to choose what you want to watch, rather than paying some company for zillions of stations that you never watch. It's easy to set up, easy to use, and works really well. We already recommended it to a friend, and she bought one, too.
