Fun and easy to use

Not a DVR!!!

Bought a Roku 3 for Christmas and am impressed with it if you are willing to hard-wire the internet connection as the wireless range on it is poor. When trying to watch anything using the wireless feature it was always buffering but after running ethernet cable (Cat6) it works fine. The one greatest peave is that you cannot pause anything!! What would it take to build a unit with a buffer that would hold 15-20 minutes worth?? Bathroom and snack breaks, must-take phone calls, visitors, route salesmen all ruin the viewing experience.
One other thing and it might be You Tube's fault is when you hit the back button after watching a video is that it does not return to same line on You Tube menu as when you selected video you just watched. Then you have to go thru several steps to get to next video in search list in that topic.
All in all, I like the unit and the availability of channels especially if you hunt them up on web, a LOT more than listed on Roku's listings.

I wanted a easy to use streaming device to watch movies and shows. Roku fits the bill. Supercharges the television experience! The whole family is very happy.

I've had this about a month and still learning and working up the nerve to cut the cable cord!!! I have also signed up for Netflix and HuluPlus. After I cut the cable cord I will miss TLC, HGTV, ABC Family, Hallmark channel and Lifetime Movie Channel, but I guess I will get used to it.........

So easy to use

I purchased to replace the NetFlix setup on my older Sharp SmartTV due to NetFlix server trouble. Wish I'd done this earlier as this so easy to use and the added content is great.

I hate watching commercials, with the Roku those days are over. I've caught up on a bunch of my favorite shows through Netflix and Hulu+

Great Tool

I bought this about a month ago, and it has greatly enhanced our TV options.
Just being able to watch network television shows without commercials and uninterrupted, multiple episodes at one time, is superb.
