Awesome replacement for the Cable STB

After looking at our budget - we decided to keep our high speed internet and stop all other cable add-on (after much research) we added a ROKU3 box to our living room 46" display instead - First impression after connecting the power and adding a few streams was the awesome audio coming from my system - I had the cable box in my home for so long, I had no idea how bad audio was. The ROKU3 has as good if not better picture than cable and the audio is truly 5.1 surround sound goodness. 5 out of 5 stars!

Simply install and easy to use!!! I wished I had one sooner!! Liked it so much I went out and bought another one for the recroom TV

About 2 months ago I bought a Roku3 and cut the cable. I was wondering if it would be possible to finally cancel my cable bill, and I took the plunge. I do have a HuluPlus and Pandora One account, but no Netflix.
I did buy a digital antenna for network/local stations, but there's only a handful of stations there. I love the Roku. I can stream Hulu at 1080 resolution, and there's no difference in quality than cable. I can stop and start my shows when I want them, I can listen to my streaming radio stations when I want. What am I missing from cable? Nothing but the big monthly bill! I just purachsed another one for a rental apartment and will turn off cable there soon too.

Upgrade your internet - you're going to need more bandwidth! With so much content on the internet, roku makes it easy to get everything you want to watch on your TV. It aggregates all of the paid and free services on the internet into one place. Although it's easy to install, the price is a bit much when you can buy a smart Blu-Ray player with the same stuff built-in. If you want an HD internet TV experience that's easy to setup, it was great. The cost up front was tough, as was the realization that I'd have to pay for most of the third party services I'd want. That said, there's still a ton of free content to consume in a variety of channels in every interest imaginable. Get on the bandwagon, internet tv is here to stay.

My girls love it and we love it, With out going into properties it will not turn off or go to sleep mode by itself until you tell it to. Other wise I still give it a 5star. All the movies that are HD are actually HD. The processing streaming signal is better than ROKU 2, I have not lost no signal at all when i have 3 streamers, Computer and a smart phone all at once from my 13MB internet speed connection. Just remember any internet Mega Bites lower than 8 is just going to drop your streaming to your Roku if you have it with WiFi.
We have NetFlix and I had to up grade our NetFlix account to 4 active streamer and it is only $11.99 for 4 active streamers. Thank You Roku and Free air Digital Signal local, because of you I cut my Cable 2 years ago and we love it. All I pay is Internet and NetFlix.
