I bought mine about a month ago and have used it daily ever since. Great value for the price. I was previously streaming Netflix through my bluray player and this is soo much faster!

The Roku 3 is a great device. The wide world of Netflix, Amazon Video, Youtube, etc... is available on our TV with an easy to use remote interface. Watching things when you want is way better than cable TV. I haven't tried any other models but buying the Roku 3 is just a one time payment and I plan on using it for a few years so I thought the best model was worth it.
One of the features I love the most on the Roku is its search feature. It searches across all your channels and displays the prices of renting and/or buying what you searched for from those channels. This is great when you want to find and rent a recent movie.

Good over all. Lots of the channel required login is quite annoying.

So, I can plug in my external NTFS HD packed with mp4s, even ripped blue rays, and the ROKU plays them all - Netflix, apps etc.. Its does crash sometimes, and would be cool if there could be a keyboard that it comes with like the xbox remote - somehow, and would be awesome in the future if you can just buy it with built in space like a TB or 2 - and of course if they can fix the crashing here and there. I dont beleive theres anything like it around - seeing that xbox only supports FAT Hds.. so no large files. I love the Roku.

Bought the Roku 2HD after a friend suggested strongly buying one. Enjoying it daily! Worth every penny. Wish I knew about it sooner. 1 week later I bought one for my son!

My goal is to get away from U-Verse, DirecTV and everything else that costs a fortune for 100s of channel I don't watch. Roku gets me closer but the problem is a: still can't find all of the programs I want to watch or b: when I do find them, often they must be purchased, and by the time I pay for all of the episodes I'm right back to where I was with U-Verse. Also, why is it that I can go to a network's website (WB, NBC, FOX) and stream the latest episodes of a program, for free, yet Roku doesn't stream them? I would think Roku can access anything that's available out there for free.
