A Cord-Cutter's Must-Have

This device is a dream come true for me. While I already was a cord cutter, I had to rely on the use of multiple devices to get a channel selection that was extremely limited in comparison to what the Roku 3 has to offer. In addition, Roku 3 is relatively inexpensive, occupies virtually no space in my entertainment center, and features the simplest and most intuitive remote control I have ever used. Simply put, I love my Roku 3.

Cut the cord with Roku3

Great product. Awesome integration with popular cable-cutting apps like Netflix, HuluPlus and many more. Very easy to setup and use for even the most "technically challenged" individual.

Wish we would have bought one sooner

Roku gives us so many more choices of movies than the lame selection DirecTV offers.
I do wish that Roku would keep the picture full screen when I hit "pause". Sometimes I want to read something on the screen (credits, subtitles, etc) so I pause it, but the image goes to the thumbnails and It's nearly impossible to read the tiny print.

Great quality / many option

I have the Roku 3 for a little over a month, and I use it all of the time to watch movies and HBO series. I have paid subscriptions Amazon Prime, Redbox Instant, HBO, and I use these most frequently, although there are a few good free channels I enjoy, such as PBS and NASA. I also like the fact that I can stream YouTube videos for free. I recently bought a smart TV, and then followed up with the Roku3, because the Smart TV was slower and didn't offer nearly as many services. I should have saved the $100 on the TV, and put that towards the box, and recommend anyone that wants the services that Roku offers in place. If you are thinking you can cancel your cable services, and go with Roku, it's just not there yet, as it is too limited, unless you have paid subscriptions and mainly watch movies.

Compact Entertainment

I love my little Roku. It was so incredibly easy to install and set up. Live TV is a thing of the past. Watching full seasons has now become the norm and with the many applications on my Roku I am never without a form of entertainment at my finger tips. Whether it is listening to music, watching movies, news, TV series and other video events or working out there is so much diversity packed into this little 3 x 3 box, I can't remember life without it. Occasionally, I even leave home!

I Can't Stop Using It!

I bought my Roku 3 about a month ago. I was going to go with the cheapest model, the Roku 1, for $50. After going to Sam's Club to purchase an HDMI cable for the unit, I realized that Sam's sells the Roku 3 for only $75 with an HDMI cable included, so I purchased that one instead. I am addicted. The apps I use most are subscription-based, such as HBO Go and Netflix. But it is so convenient to watch through the Roku. The interface is easy to use and the display is great. The system is very quick to respond, which I understand is better on this model than on the Roku 1 and Roku 2. Since our TV is connected to a sound system, it is also great to put on Pandora for parties and what-not. I love this purchase!
