I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas to replace comcast and wow have I saved money. I get all the streaming that we need to make watching tv enjoyable, I'm so glad that I chose this model its so easy to set up. Took all of 3 mins. The hardest part was getting the plug behind the tv.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to set up and start using

We are tired of our cable company charging us more each year for less channels so decided to jump ship with the Roku. This is super easy to set up and start using and has been easy to navigate. We are getting a lot of use from our Roku and making more deliberate choices with our television viewing instead of just 'surfing' through junk. Thanks Roku for giving us back choices in our tv viewing!

The Roku 3 is awesome. Simple to set up and install apps. Many tv,movie,music,radio apps to install most of them are free.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great player, but no native slingplayer support

I bought the Roku 3 to be able to stream slingbox easily to my TV without the need for a PC... Basically as a replacement of my WD TV Live. I was greatly surprised to find out I had to buy the slingplayer app for my phone to be able to play the stream. Also the quality is not great because the decoding is done by the phone it seems....
For me it was the only reason to buy the Roku, and am therefore very disappointed in it.
All the other features seem to be working fine, and the response of the player is great... If only the slingplayer app would be a native one without the requirement of a phone it would be a 5 star review. Now I cannot give it more than 3 because it is not clear at all that a separate app is needed for the slingplayer, which has to be bought...
