Nice UI, lacking in ability to change settings

I like the UI, the Netflix redesign, the themes for skins is great. It is lacking in the ability to change settings. I want more control over the connectivity settings which Roku doesn't allow. Having the Roku the ability to network share would be ideal as well.

I bought this about 3 weeks ago and I am totally satisfied with the product. It does what it claims to do and loads extremely fast. My son is also going to get one now and return his cable box. If you are looking for a low cost alternative to cable this is it.

Overall I am very happy with my recent Roku purchase. Between You Tube, Netflix and various podcast channels, I have more than enough to keep myself occupied when it comes to HDTV viewing. In particular, You Tube being added to the Roku channel store makes a huge difference! The only trick is to have a small amount of patience to sort through some of the low quality offerings, (i.e. nameless religious channel after nameless religious channel), to find the real quality entertainment. But after only a few short weeks, I find myself wondering why I didn't "cut the cord" and go the Roku route years ago.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We canceled cable tv over a year ago and went strictly with an antenna. We get local news channels which is good but the Roku gives us all the shows and entertainment we like without being forced to a package of channels on cable or dish network to which we never used more than about 8 to 10 channels. Why pay for something the cable company chooses in there crummy packages that you are forced to subscribe too? Even there basic subscription has programs that people don't watch and we only watched a couple of there channel selections. ROKU is the best intervention and we watch Netflix and get the movies we like to watch and what a selection at our own liking. Thank you ROKU!
