Great design - but needs to mature

Overall, the interface is very intuitive and user-friendly. However, there are some details that could be improved: 1. provide check marks or progress status bars on all videos already viewed; 2. for video that is time-sensitive (e.g. NBC News), they could be sorted according to airplay; as it is, they are grouped by date, but appear randomly within a given day so that when you "play all" some that require the lead-in clip get out of sequence and make little sense. In fact, for date-oriented content, there should be a calendar view option so that each day's worth of content is clearly arranged chronologically (now you have to cursor over each individual thumbnail of the video to see what date it is and find where one day's content starts or stops).

Excellent streaming device...the best out there, fast, fast and fast. I have Apple TV also and like this unit way better, don't keep reading this just go buy it!

Roku ROCKS!

I had never heard of roku until a week ago. At first I bought a 50 dollar net gear streaming player and it froze up on me alot so I took it back and got a roku 1 and its fast and works great. I got rid of my satellite tv and used that savings to increase my 401k contributions from 6% to 10% so I can retire earlier. who needs satellite tv when you have a roku? I actually like roku better than satellite tv to be honest with you because I watch alot of the same stuff thats on satellite tv on my netflix and roku makes netflix convenient to use on your bigscreen tv. I like the history channel and A and E channel on the roku too....plus the MMA channels...it has alot of free stuff and I love that. I was paying $80 a month for my tv but now its free! Roku ROCKS!!!!

I got this as a Christmas present...it was easy to hook up and is easy to use. I love all the channel options. It also lets me use my Redbox streaming on my new TV.

i have basic uverse and this adds so much more for me to watch movies on netflix amd redbox plus hbo go now just waiting for starzz

Great unit but missing Audio output

The Roku is a great unit and easy to use. However need buy an unit to extract audio out of the HDMI so that I could connect it to my home theater. I would have very useful to have a optical audio output.

We have been using our Roku 3 for a month now and love the easy access to movies and other media and the ease of use it provides. All we had to do was connect it to an HDMI outlet on our tv and we were ready to watch.

I own a Sony Bluray with built in wifi it is so slow compared to the Roku 3
