Changed My TV Viewing Forever

I was getting tired of the few shows I really wanted to watch on cable, so I researched streaming video to my HDTV.  Having high-speed wireless internet in my home and making sure that I had an excellent connection with my downstairs TV, I purchased the Roku 3 a month ago.
It has totally changed my life!  Now, my wife and I can watch TV and movies whenever we want, not when they are broadcast.  I love the queue feature on Hulu Plus to line up the videos I want to watch.  Hulu also informs me when a new TV episode is available, so we never miss our favorite shows.  The pause feature is great, especially when the phone rings or we are interrupted while viewing.
The other channels I have from Roku's Channel Store are great alternatives, such as PBS and the Smithsonian Channel.
We still have cable because there are some networks like Turner Classic Movies and HGTV that are not available or not able to be streamed to our TV.  However, if Hulu begins to offer these networks, we would definitely cut the cost of cable.
This is the future of TV viewing, and you can't go wrong in paying the modest price for Roku 3.

Great Little Box, Easy to Setup

Had this for a month now and found it easy to use.  Headphone feature is really nice.  Channel selection could be a little nicer, but when paired up with up NetFlix it works well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazing Value!

Buying our Roku was a great decision. Instead of paying $190.00/month for cable, we are paying $45 for our internet connection and $8 for Huluplus. We also have streaming with Amazon Prime, but with what we save in shipping, that pays for itself. Add all the free channels on top of that, and we are watching all the shows and movies that we love, and paying a lot less for it. 
The picture quality is amazing, and we have never had a bit of lag or digitizing, like we occasionally got from our cable provider. The set up was ridiculously simple. The menus are very easy to navigate. I just can't say enough good things about my Roku. I honestly don't see myself ever going back to cable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Switched from using an old computer to streaming through Roku. Much easier to work from an easy chair since you don't need a mouse. Booting and unbooting is eliminated and in general this just works better.

Works great, but Netflix is a bit off

I really like my new Roku 3 player. It's easy to set up and easy to use. I use it mostly to watch Amazon Prime, PBS and Netflix. Of those three channels, Netflix is the only somewhat bothersome channel. The audio arrives a half-second (or so) behind the video.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Solved my video streaming issues

I have been streaming for Netflex, Pandora and Amazon directly with my "smart" LCD TVs through my ATT UNITE WiFi hotspot (same as my smart phone data connection). Video streaming connections have been difficult at times to connect, and get interrupted from time to time and need reboot.
Instead of using the wireless to network streaming functions of my so
called "smart" TVs, I now connect from TVs through the ROKU 3 via a spare HDMI port on the TVs and connect wireless from the ROKU to the ATT UNITE hotspot.
Connections are now very fast video quality is great and no interruptions. I can highly recommend this product for people who live in non-urban areas and have smartphone ATT LTE and better data package.
I would recommend this to a friend!
