No regrets on dumping satellite and going Roku. The picture quality is as good as Blu-ray. Why didn't I do this sooner!!

I bought a roku 3 because I wanted the faster processor and the HDMI port. I've had it for about 3 weeks then I bought a second one. I enjoy very much.I live in the woods and average 2-3 bars on my phone and I get HD video "1080p"with no Hick ups or buffering issues. I turned off my satellite "$90" a month. Now I pay "$36" a month for my roku channels. Most are free.
I would recommend this to a friend!

ROKU SAVES US FROM THE BOREDOM

Even though we do not have a high spped internet at times (Direct tv) . I can still watch a movie and thanks for having amazon prime also only on roku. Picture quality is good . Roku even dressed up the screen for valentines day.I only wish roku could stream on local TV. I would watch all fox news all day and movies at night or tv.

It's been almost two months. This is the third one I've purchased for my home. This one is in my daughter's room. Easy to use, fun games and a plethora of movie and T.V. show choices.

I'm disappointed in the movie selection. Classical and historical movies are great, current releases, not so much.

I purchased my Roku 3 about a month ago. I was getting tired of increasing satellite bill. I get over the air local channels. I use the Roku to connect to several channels to watch movies, and to watch rebroadcast of some of the shows I miss on network primetime.
The Setup was extremely easy. The hardest thing is deciding what to watch.

I like this because you can plug in your headset into the remote and also use the TV speakers at the same time. When I called customer service they told me that you can do this by plugging in the headset (this will turn off the TV sound) then clicking the volume control on the Roku remote in this way: up 2 clicks down 2 up 3 down 3 then the volume on the TV returns and it still works in the headset. This was important for me because my husband is hard of hearing and he can control the headset and I can control the TV sound at the same time! I almost did not purchase this box since nothing in the description told you that this could be done. I asked the customer service rep if this was in the instruction manual and he said no. I know that this might be a selling point for those that have the same need such as I described, too bad they don't let you know this in the manual at least. My husband does not like the remote because it is small and hard to hold on to. But myself I have no problem. Guess this is a guy verses girl thing. It was really easy to set up. There are many channels that you can get, even free ones!

That's about it. What an awesome device! Wish I had stock n the company. I was worried about buffering due to our internet speed. No problems at all. Easy to set up...my daughter did it! I am hooked on Breaking Bad now.
