I bought my Roku about a month ago and am so glad I did! With the increasing cost of cable t.v. it seems to be a great investment and also very easy to use!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I use the RoKu 3 with my exercise equipment. No need disturb others with my music or movies while I'm doing my cardio.

I now have two Roku units: the XD and the HD. The format is easy to manage and is responsive on either unit. I dropped DirecTV and find that going with Roku streaming satisfies any viewing needs without all the commercials. Infinitely less expensive, I hasten to add, and wonderful choices in channels. I am using clearwire satellite for internet connection and it seems to handle most of the streaming demands adequately in conjuction with the router, and Roku.
I would recommend this to a friend!
