Very happy with my roku purchase.  I only pay for the shows I want and am introduced to new shows on netflix and hulu that I previously overlooked.

Even after owning other streaming devices, the roku 3 stands on top. Has an amazing channel library. Super user-friendly, and the remote controller has a headphone jack for those who would like to watch in peace or avoid others. A definite must own for every living room.

Technical Support Required.

Several days ago, I found my wired connection with the ROKU XD/S unit was not receiving.  I did not know the cause prior to contacting technical support.  The Technician guided me through the steps and service was again established. Thank you for the service and being patient with a novice such as myself.

I've had my Roku 3 for over a month now and am very please with the overall performance. If I could get the NFL (Packer fan living in Arizona) as a channel/package, I'd drop Directv in a heartbeat(NFL package $200+).

Needs better networking documentation

Nowhere is it stated that the Roku 3 requires a DHCP server to configure its network interface.  Most home networks have a DHCP server in their wireless router, but that's a poor assumption to make.  I can't imagine it would be difficult to implement manual network settings.  At the very least this requirement should be plainly stated.  This was a minor headache for me but I could see it as a major issue for others.  
Internet streaming has been flawless.  Streaming HD videos via Plex Media Server has stuttering/buffering issues on a gigabit network.
