Effortless install

After messing with glitches in the wireless networking system designed into our 46" Samsung TV for months, the Roku 3 was a major improvement. Basically, we no longer bother with the Samsung network. Would recommend you hook up the Roku to an uninterruptible power supply (along with everything else related to the TV, TIVO, Cable Box, etc.). Otherwise it will lock up after power interruptions, at least that is what I think was going on. I had to unplug the power supply to reset the Roku twice when I first turned the set on in the evening.

I love the Roku 3 it is extremely easy to set up and very fun.
I bought an HDMI to composite converter so I can use it on my old tv's.
Worked like a charm. streams great.

Easy to setup.

I had this about 7 weeks. It works fine. It does cause the TV to be slower is switching channels. On several channels, I haven't tried all the hundreds of channels, there is horizontal white lines on a black back ground before the station finally tunes itself. This last about 1 - 2 seconds. I know what channels that happens with so I switch to another and then switch to the one I really wanted.
The price was on the steep side. A inexpensive BluRay / VCR player that has a smart menu is close to the same price.
My fault for not researching that before the purchase.
Other than the above it does what it is advertised to do.

A little quirky but good

Has frozen a couple of times and programs tend to also freeze/lock up - have increased internet speeds to well above recommendations with a little improvement. Good product, just a bit quirky.

We, bought this one month ago for my international tv shows, we loved it so much we have purchased another one for my bedroom also my brother bought for himself to, we going ti save 60% money for same number of tv shows plus lots of new channels. We love it.

This was a gift to us. We replaced a blu ray player that caused us nothing but problems. We love the Ruko 3. It starts much faster than using the blu ray. We highly recommend this device.

I received the Roku for Christmas, and I love it! I like how when you search for a show or movie it gives you all the channels you can watch it on.
I do wish they'd make the remote with a texting keyboard to type names faster. It's frustrating to enter the letters so slowly.
I'd like to see the Showtime channel available too! As it is, I have to watch it on my iPad. You have HBO Go, but need Showtime.
Still love it though!
