Great streamer!

I already had a Blu-ray player with streaming services but there were some services that I wanted that my Samsung player didn't support. So I got a Roku and I am really happy with it. It has a lot more content than my Samsung and video and audio streaming quality is excellent. It supports wireless and wired Ethernet connectivity which is good because wireless coverage in the part of the house where my home theater is located is a little weak. So I installed a power line network adapter and used a CAT 5 cable to connect the Roku to my network. Couldn't have been easier. The two streaming services I was most interested in accessing, Netflix and Amazon Prime are supported and now I'm enjoying a lot more content than I had with my Samsung player. The device itself is tiny so it takes up almost no space on my home entertainment stand. Great product!

I bought this around a month back and its been worth it. I spent loads of time on the net looking out for a good media player and did a fair bit of research on all the existing products. I am so glad I settled down for the Roku - good quality, simple yet effective features and good speed. I use it a lot with Plex and it works great. One area it could improve is by adding more channels and content for Canadian viewers...

Fantastic seletion of channels

Bye-bye cable! I purchased the Roku along with a Mohu antennae (amazing in itself) and have cut the cord with cable. It's not as bad as you would think. I am already an Amazon Prime, Netflix and Hulu Plus customer, and when I really thought about it, I didn't need cable at all. The only pain I will feel is sports, but signing up for the MLB, NFL, NBA live packages, it's only like paying for a few months of cable anyway and the cost is for an entire year's worth of service!

Love the new Roku. Especially being able to play youtube from iPhone. Improvement I would love to see…..1. Within a search field, like when using Hulu, a better search field, then having to scroll a row of alphabet. 2. Being able to alphabetize my channels. 3. Be able to compare channels side by side before adding on. 4. Channels added on-line to appear on the box lot sooner than 24 hours.

I was new to streaming video players,but my Son had bought the Roku 2 and gave it rave reviews. I jumped in with both feet and bought the Roku 3,and I was able to downgrade to basic cable.
