I was so sick of the horrible things on cable, and with the Roku box, I can be my own DJ, selecting the channels I want to see and hear. I can block out all of the dumb things they try to force down peoples' throats now, with cable! I'm in love with Roku!

I purchased this about a month ago and I am so pleased I can not believe I did not get one sooner. This is quite simply the best way to stream media that I have found. I have tried smart tv apps, streaming from a computer, and streaming from my Wii, but this Roku is 1000% easier and faster than anything else. It is always on so there is no waiting for it to boot up and it loads Netflix and Amazon Prime almost instantly. Love it!!!

This Roku has improved my Internet TV Streaming experience, it is easy to use, has great picture quality, and I love that I can select which streaming apps to load.

I like the thought they put into this device, the menu is very intuitive and you are able to stream movies(Vudu, Netflix, or Redbox), tv (TWC), or songs (iPhone, iPad iPod). The only reason I'm deducting a star is due to the fact that you are not able to play movies off of iTunes or any apple device (probably legal issues), there is also no way to stream from PC. One other thing the media player that Roku uses falls flat when you want to stream something from a different folder other than your default "windows media player". You can't period.

too bad doesn't support DLNA

There are some very nice features on this box including support for an external hard drive or micro SD card. The interface is simple and intuitive enough that even tenchnophobe members of my family are able to use this with ease.
We have cancelled out cable TV account, and strictly use this device to support our media entertainment.
Have enjoyed it enough to buy a second one; however that being said the one thing is a draw back is it doesn't support DLNA, and having to convert media to mkv (not all MP4 files are supported) is a time consuming inconvenience.
I would recommend this to a friend!
