I owned Roku 3 for a few weeks now and LOVE it! Why doesn't EVERYONE cancel their cable and get this??? Seriously! This is a product that has instantly changed television for me. I can't see ever going back to cable. I'm overwhelmed with the content and am having fun exploring it.

Rec'd as a gift from my 10 year old granddaughter who is a whiz at operating the Roku. We rec'd this gift 30 days ago. I have had to "reboot" or disconnect the device several times in order to view my selection, so I'm guessing that's some kind of software issue with whoever. Been ok for the last week or so. I am very satisfied with the overall performance of the system but disappointed in the movie selection from netflix. The movies should be a bit more current.

I love the roku. We subscribe to Hulu and Netflix so for 16 bucks a month I can watch most anything I want. Plus, there is Amazon for renting movies too. We had cable for a long time and realized that we never watched it.

Not what I expected

I thought I would be getting a lot more free programming, but only unheard of underground stuff is possible. It's nice to have netflix in my room now though.
Comes off as you're getting a bunch of free TV, as if it's a great ALTERNATIVE to cable and satellite tv. But this only works with mainstream programs if you have a subscription from them. In that case you may as well have cable or satellite.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

RF remote and headphone jack a real advantage. Faster processor means decreased wait times. I wish there was a screen saver feature for music channels like Spotify.
