We like our TV even more

Like many, we felt that we were getting hosed by cable. It just cost too much for what content we got from it. So we cut our cable service and got a ROKU 3. The set up and configuration took a bit of time, I think 30 to 40 minutes (two trips to the next room to register the ROKU on the desktop computer, then again to register a subscription channel). What I liked about the set up was that the instructions were clear and concise. I got it, and the first time through. Thank you ROKU.
I did think that the ear buds supplied were not the best of quality, I dug out some old Koss over the ear headset and I enjoy that a lot more. But however you prefer, jacking into the remote is pretty cool. My cat and I approve.
The streaming has been excellent. Every once in a while there is an hiccup and twice it has just stopped, but who can say what caused that. It could have been the WiFi, the Internet provider, a server, or maybe the device. It is no problem to reboot and get back to where you were. The streaming is great. Much smoother than I can get over my computer.
In all I am well pleased, and hope to add another ROKU to a different set. We get enough over the air channels to satisfy us. Watching THIS weeks HGTV or Food Channel did not cause withdrawal, and we can find plenty of content to watch on the ROKU. We are much more satisfied than with cable TV.

I would like to have prior info if a channel has commercials or cost money so I don't waste my time. I like Netflix the best but I wish Canada had the very same assortment as the USA.

We love the Roku 3. Very easy to use! I am usually afraid of technology. The instructions were simple and entertaining. My seven year old son can use it by himself.
