Cut The Cable!!

I am loving my ROKU. When I had cable, I would just turn on 'whatever', because there was nothing on! Now, I actually watch shows on demand that I want to see. That's with Netflix, though. The free channels don't have that much stuff I want to watch, except PBS, which has tons of great stuff. Also, I have watched lots of movies I already had via USB, but I had to convert them to MP4, which is not a big deal. (Google it) Also, you can't plug in an external harddrive or something like that. You will get an error message. I had to use an old 2 gig USB to actually use that interface, but it works fine. I also have a digital antenna for local channels. I don't get FOX, though, so I thought I was gonna miss the Super Bowl. Nah, they showed it for free on the internet. Yay!

The best streaming solution around

I absolutely love the product, is extremely easy to setup and use. My 5 year old daughter learned her way around in 5 minutes.
The free content selection is almost useless, except for very few channels, but combined with Youtube, Netflix and other sources, its a great cable replacement.
I got 2 of these and cut the cord for good.
The only drawback is the 3 month warranty, they should offer 1 year.

Smooth and fast.

Started out streaming with a Neo TV that was slow in every aspect. Finally got the bug to try the Roku and glad I did. Smooth remote, almost seamless menu changes.

Great, but needs to support .avi files

I love my Roku 3, I can watch netflix through it, which is great since before I had to hook up my computer to my tv to do that. But I also got it for the newest feature, which was the usb support. I have a large amount of video on my external hard drive and was disappointed that it does not support .avi files, which are the majority of my collection. Have it support .avi and it's perfect. Although, it also has problems playing my 1080p video files over the usb as well, and by problems, I mean it doesn't play them. Also, needs a power button, current only way to turn off is to unplug, giving the remote a power button would keep it off while not in use instead of in standby would be nice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this product instead of buying a new Blu-ray player, mostly to be able to stream movies and tv shows. I already have a quality Blu-ray player and wasn't too keen on getting a new one unless it offered better streaming services. I couldn't be happier than I am about buying the Roku 3. It does everything I wanted it to do plus more. It's used at least 3 hours every day. I used to use a WII to stream from, but my daughter has that in her room now because we had poor Wi-Fi reception where our living room tv is. I was worried that the Roku would have the same problem, but it doesn't. The range and speed of the Roku Wi-Fi is outstanding. Excellent buy.

I actually own 2 Roku boxes, with plans on ditching my cable completely. I love both of them - I watch what I want to watch and pay only for what I watch (unlike cable). Love all the channels and options (Netflix and Amazon Instant are the two I use the most). Simple to set up, up and running in minutes. Very, very impressed.
