The Roku 3 has been wonderful. I was extremely surprised how easy it was to setup, and more so how to search for/add channels.

Love Roku

I had a roku x/s and wanted to upgrade to the roku 3.  I am not disappointed.  I love the extra channels like PBS and A&E that I can get now.  The new software setup is excellent and the new remote easier to use.  I also like that like the one I had before I can use a wired set up.  I have not had cable or satellite in over a year now and do not miss it (except when the Sox played in the series).  I do pay for hulu plus, amazon and acorn and feel that what I spend is not even touching the cost of cable, etc.  I am a happy camper.  I also want to say that the roku service and chat is excellent!

This is the best purchase I've made in a long time. It does what it says it will do. Great for someone who is not an electronics geek. Easy to install and operate.

Nice, feature-rich device

We've had our Roku for several weeks now and we love it.  It's much more feature rich than the ChromeCast for not that much more money.  Since getting it, we've discontinued our cable service.  That said, it would be nice to have a channel search feature.

Just What I Wanted

I needed a streaming device that would offer closed captions and subtitles.  Also, a device that would deliver HD video and surround sound. The Roku 3 does it all very well.  I would recommend this device to your prospective customers.

Best Invention Since Television!!!!

We bought our Roku about Christmas time and have been very pleased with it.
Roku is simple to setup and operate. After several years of paying BIG $$$$$ to watch the same old re-runs and commercials from our Satellite provider, we decided to do something about it. We went to Wal-Mart and bought our Roku. NOW we have literally thousands of movies and TV series shows to choose from, many in HD and commercial free. Forget Satellite and cable companies for entertainment, there is a much better way to go. No more re-runs for us unless we choose to watch the same movie again. Roku is definitely the best purchase we have made in years. Needless to say we LOVE Roku .... and you will too!!!

I'm very excited about having the Roku as an alternative to expensive PPV movies from my satellite provider. However when I'm watching a movie, more and more the movie is freezing and gives me an error message so I have to unplug the Roku and replug it in in order to resume the movie. Not sure if it's a Roku issue or a Netflix issue.

FABULOUS--but...

As far as a device for streaming content from the internet, I think this has them all beat. However, if you have Apple devices and need to play nice with your TV you might want the Apple TV, similarly priced; however don't expect to see AmazonPrime on the Apple TV. My big problem, and it isn't really Roku per se, is that a lot of the channels and content is nonsense. Most of the channels that look like they are "cable" channels will require you to verify you have a cable subscription…so if you think you can cut the cord and get DisneyXD with Roku alone, think again. A lot of things on the History channel were 2 minute clips, not any real content. That isn't really Roku's fault, it is the content provider. Lastly no content provider is supply 1080p so your HD is really limited to 720.
