Excellent Product

I have used a DVD delivery service for years. I received a movie streaming service as a Christmas gift. After researching the available media players, I chose the Roku 3 and have not regretted it. It provides access to a large and growing source of content. I can also display photographs, videos, and play my music through the Roku 3.

Family really enjoys the Roku 3

We reviewed similar devices and purchased the Roku 3 in late December. We are happy with the ease of setup, use and streaming quality. The Roku 3 has given new life to an five-year old Samsung plasma with limited Internet and streaming capability. One minor issue is the Roku 3 "freezes" occasionally (3 times in almost two months), but recovers after resetting power. We are pleased with our purchase.

Bringing fun back to TV

Watching Netflix and other subscription channels on my TV was becoming increasingly frustrating due to irritating stops and starts that occured while the feed caught up to the display. Roku has eliminated 100% of these problems and has made the viewing of these channels fun again. In addition, a large number of channels are available as you set up your Roku during the very easy set-up process. I can't picture using anything else.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good features, with some down sides.

Bought a couple months ago. Its great if you already have subscriptions to Huluu or Netflix. The cost of individual episodes is about 2 bucks. Not really worth it if trying to catch up on seasons. Also, cant stream Pandora through it. The sound is very distorted, but only with a that and a few games.

Was skeptical at first...Wanted to cut the cable..

I got tired of paying over $150 for cable and decided to cut the cord as a Christmas gift to myself and my pocket book. After doing extensive research on the web, I found out about this little devise. Thought what the heck, one time up front cost (excluding my high speed internet service), how could I go wrong?
Bought at the store, plugged it in, and was up and going in minutes. Was impressed how easy and simple the set up and interface was. Was thrilled to see that I could get everything I was watching on my previous cable, but without the commercials. Content, content, content, without those pesky and annoying commercials. As a single parent, love that my 71/2 year-old can watch all his favorite shows, without seeing inappropriate commercials that seem to be targeted to parents / Adults on the cartoon networks.
I simply love this device, and would highly recommend, and do constantly to friends and relatives. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

The Roku 3 has been a great replacement for cable. The ear phone plug in the remote was an excellent idea. Ease to use and a simple remote makes viewing simple and enjoyable. Just wish it had a web browser, that would make a truly complete unit.

Very pleased; great value

For the price, it would be hard to beat its mix of simplicity, content and reliability. It has all of the typical streaming services and some very specialized (yet obscure) ones as well. Importantly, it works with Plex, so I can access content stored on my local computers as well. The remote works perfectly even though the Roku box is stored behind my TV and out of sight. The few quibbles I have (limited codec support, no 'favorites' button on remote to jump directly to a frequently-used channel/source, etc.) are totally insignificant when I think about its price and features. I am extremely happy with my purchase.
