Should have done this a year ago

My brother has been pushing me to get a Roku for over a year and I kept putting it off. He finally wore me down and I am glad he did. The Roku is great. It is easy to install and easy to use. I highly recommend this product.

If I didn't have a "smart TV" I would have rated Roku 3 higher. We fired our dish provider and went with Netflix and Hulu+. Big mistake. I missed current programing and News so we added an antenna and life was good. My wife talked me into trying Roku. The free content is good. If you don't mind paying a few bucks you can get really good channels. If you are hardcore anti "Pay" TV, Roku and your own Antenna would do the trick nicely.

I love this little gizmo. It does almost everything i need.
+ It is fast and works very smoothly. Lovely user interface.
+ Sound and Picture quality is excellent, better than my other devices with same apps, like Netflix, Spotify etc.
+ Buffers/Loads faster too.

This media player/App player really surprised me. Cannot stop using it.
- More Apps please.
- Media home network sharing could be better. MKV, H264.
- Wish it had a physical on/off switch/button or shutdown command instead of standby.

Not happy with overall performance. Some things work smooth (Netflix), while others get a broken stream (ESPN).

I love that I can catch up on shows that I have missed and watch shows that my husband is not interested in. The ear phones for the remote are the best idea yet cause I can watch the show I want and not have comments being made from the husband on how stupid the show is cause he can't hear it. So getting ready to get rid of cable.

I'm sorry I waited so long

In August of 2012 I dropped my cable tv and had an antenna installed. I was promised I would get the Boston PBS stations. Well I don't. A co-worker of mine mentioned ROKU and then I spoke with my nephew who had recently acquired one and I decided to give it a try. It has exceeded all expectations and is user friendly to boot. Just within the PBS channel there are myriads of programs to watch when I choose to view them. The possibilities seem endless. Thank you, ROKU!

MY son recommended that we try the Roku after we complained about our unsatisfactory streaming experience with our Sony DVD player. Iam very impressed and astounded wit how well this little unit works in bringing in all the programs we want easily, fast and with no delay. The remote is simple and very intuitive and the search feature for ALL our channels eliminates guesswork. Great product.
