Beyond expectations

I wasn't sure about streaming. I had a blu ray player that kept stoppiing and was not convinced that a new device would help. Prove me wrong, the Roku 3 is great. It never stops, delivers great surround sound through an amp, and really is a good addition to my video watching.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Received the Roku3 as a gift and am generally pleased with it. Still see that with movies the audio is a second or two behind the video.

Beware of the channel's limitations

I bought this device as it was the best rated Netflix player on the Internet, and was surprised to find this paid channel is unavaiable in my Country (Uruguay, South America). Despite the lack of the best rated paid channels, it is still a great means of entertainment.

This was our first experience with streaming. We were extremely frustrated wondering if our Wi-Fi didn't have a strong enough signal, the t.v. was too early a high definition model, or the Roku 3 was defective. So, we actually had to pay a tech savvy person to find the problem. The problem was with the Roku 3. So in effect the Roku 3 was double the cost for us. Once we discovered that the simple solution was returning & obtaining another Roku 3. The second one is great! It was easy to set up and we are enjoying the viewing options.

I was looking for an affordable option for family viewing options without all the cable costs for traditional T.V.

Versatile cable replacement

I bought my Roku about a month ago and found it simple to use. My wife enjoys having it on the main TV especially since got rid cable. The variety of channels and add-ons make it ideal for watching a variety of shows and movies.
