Over all the roku is a good product. However sometime it pause for long period. I have to turn it off and start over.

Awesome product. This is such an easy way to access web content and your media library in the living room... and the performance is simply outstanding... this is my 3rd streaming device and I wish it would have been my first... I don't have an easy way to access my network via wired connection in the living room so I've been struggling with watching content over WiFi... I can watch large 1080p mkv's with zero buffering or glitching... even rewind / fast forward and the Roku handles it... App support is awesome too (e.g. Plex)... Simply put, the Roku 3 is a must buy product.. period.

I bought this approximately a month ago and I LOVE IT. I got so sick of our cable provider playing mouse with the channels and moving most channels of interest to the highest priced package. We have 4 TVs and now 2 of them have a ROKU 3 player on them. I had talked about doing this a year ago but I couldn't figure out how to see local channels. I finally made the plunge and someone at work told me I could use a digital antenna to pick up the local channels. Now that I can check out the local weather/traffic in the morning, I have the complete package. Let's talk about the ROKU 3. I love the fact that I can select what I want to see versus watch channels offered by a cable company. There are lots of free channels in all categories. The format is wonderful and I love the global search at the very beginning. The picture is beautiful and has the feel of cable. If I decide to go with a couple of paid channels I've saved a heap of money compared with what I used to pay for cable. We have 4 TVs and currently ROKU 3 is on 3. Also, the earphones (plug into the remote) that allow one of us to watch TV while the other sleeps are outstanding. I could go on and ON...

I received this as a Christmas present and set in up about a week after receiving it at first I looked for old tv shows and new movies I had not seen yet and it took know time at all to enjoy all the great features roku had to offer .

Warning.... Seriously do not buy a Roku

If you plan to have normal nights sleep, do not buy a Roku. Since getting the Roku3 I do not get to bed before midnight anymore. I always have movies, TV shows, documentary's, etc.... Shows of interest. I have cable with over 100 channels and many nights I have nothing to watch that is worth watching. Since the Roku my watch list has grown. I can probably sit for weeks and watch shows that really interest me. My watch list and channels keep growing.
If you want to keep your boring nights going with nothing to watch? If you want to stay a dull normal pass on the Roku? For heaven's sake do not buy a Roku.

Cool little device

I received this Roku as a Christmas present. I got rid of my satellite tv and I use Netflix for most of my tv watching. I have an HDTV antenna for my living room, but nothing for the bedroom. This device was simple to hook up and set up. I like the headphones in the remote control allowing you to lay in bed and listen to the tv without keeping my wife awake. The device is simple to use, just wish it had a power button to shut off the Roku when you are done with it.
