Antenna is to week to connect in half of my house, It makes the Roku more trouble than it is worth.

Easy to Install

We bought the Roku about a month ago and thought that hundreds of movies were free of charge, that is not the case. You have to subscribe to different movie houses like netflix, redbox etc. The cost to subscribe is usually $6-8 per month. Places like Blockbuster charge a fee per movie. So if you are under the impression that everything is free after buying the Roku, you are wrong. I still like my Roku as I love to watch movies without commercials.

I use to have Apple TV but had constant connect problems with my home computer (also a mac) and was also tired of the Apple TV only being able to play certain formats... After installing the Roku 3 and playing around with it more and more it is light years ahead of Apple TV. It plays almost any format with no issues... Works seemless with PLEX (way better then itunes may I add) and also has some cool apps such as Pandora, ESPN etc. I also really enjoy the headphone adapter on the remote as I have 4 children and cant play the TV to loud at night time.
All in all I'm very happy with my purchase!

You cant get as many channels as the American version. Hopefully this changes shortly. Also there is no search engine yet. They say it is coming soon.

Loyal Apple fan tried a Roku. Picked over NetGear, WD, et al. Wanted to see how compatible it was. Surprisingly the convenience of instant easy compatibility was not missed. Hook up simple, unit functions well. Has more options than Apple. Cutting the cord from subscription and lowering costs for entertainment is a success. On demand is the future, I would recommend.
