I am very happy with my Roku. I am not a tv person but since have the Roku I have been able to watch great movies and tv too. I highly recommend Roku

We've initially bought this for family in Denmark, who then realized it wasn't the Roku they wanted but the TV-Pad. So we took it back with us but back in UK we realized that we were missing out on Channels such as iPlayer since the Roku was set-up in Denmark. For me, the channels available outside UK were really not that much and I was getting very annoyed to even have spend £ 99.00 on this device. Sure it worked as it should, but it didn't deliver any quality channel worth watching. Together with that, we have a Projector and since the Top Model didn't came with an Audio Out (while others did), this Top Model for us was actually less useful since the projector doesn't have Audio Out either. Not only that, the Roku 3 doesn't even come with an HDMI cable so another thing to buy. At the end, I bought myself a sound splitter, yet another HDMI cable from that sound splitter to the projector and now I can use the SPDIF from the sound splitter to our amplifier. Works great. Just pitty I have to invest all that extra money. Roku 3 should come with at least a SPDIF out for full audio experience (sure, you can drop the audio analogue out).
Now for the channels, a customer service agent from Roku was really helpful and set us up with a new account, corrected to be in UK so now we can have valuable channels such as BBC iPlayer and 4oD. The entire set-up is a charm now and my appreciated has grown. Now we have something we can use, sure I payed a little too much in total at the end, and can't recommend it for people having a projector but it's possible, and once it's connected it's a great box.
The question 'below': Would you recommend this product to a friend, has a simple 'Yes' or 'No', but unfortunately it's not that simple. If you have a TV set, sure, you can hook it up but if you have a projector, things are not as simple and Roku missed the ball on that (at least for their Top Player). Since most people have TV sets I did say 'Yes'... :)

We have just finished our first month of using Roku. What a great device. It would be even more amazing if it had a slot to play DVD's but I guess that segment of the market is taken up by Blue Ray players. Love it just the way it is..

If you want to stream movies/TV this is the device for you. Couldn't have been easier to set up and start using. The inclusion of ear buds and a earphone jack in the remote makes late night/private movie watching possible. Just plug in the ear buds start the movie and turn it up, won't disturb anyone's sleep. All-in-all a great product that does everything it advertises and more!
