Roku 3 just isn't that much better for the price difference.

Easy, Fast & Fun!

I needed a new DVD player, so I thought, because my old one couldn't handle the speed of my router. When looking, I came across the Roku 3, remembered my Internet service agent recommended it, so, why not. I LOVE IT! I don't watch DVD's anymore & only stream, so I don't need the big, bulky player, the Roku 3 was the answer. It's small & compact, yet, powerful. There are lots of apps to choose from too, making it cutting edge. I also had to speak to a Roku customer service rep & they were informative, helpful & very professional. I recommend the Roku 3 to anyone & everyone who just wants to stream Netflix & the like, &, listen to Music. I know there is still a lot more that I haven't even tapped into. Thanks Roku!

Setup and registration was very easy. Haven't had much time yet to explore what's available, but so far it seems like everything worth watching has a fee. There were a lot of free trial offers. Haven't signed up for any because I don't want the monthly bills to add up. I watched a few short news clips. Download took longer than I was expecting. Don't know yet what the experience will be with a whole movie. Time will tell.

It is good to have shows to watch when you want to watch them. Not had Roku for long and have been watching missed TV series without commercials.

We got the Roku initially to take advantage of the free movie viewing from our Amazon Prime membership (already paying for). We now have found several other "Channels" to watch as well. The video quality is great and have not had a single issue.
