Almost perfect

I love my new Roku. My son bought it for me as a Christmas gift. The only complaint is almost everytime I watch a movie, I get a pop up that says they are having trouble with the movie and to wait or watch something else. I usually have to wait a few seconds and go back and watch resume. This is quite annoying for my husband and I when we are engrossed in a movie. Any advice as to why this happens would be appreciated.

My Roku is the best!

We were using a CD player to catch the signal (Netflix) from the router but it kept dropping out. Roku never drops out and we love it.

Setup? This thing just works perfectly. Adding channels, connecting it to your network are all a piece of cake. I like when a product just simply delivers what it promised. I have no real complaints concerning this purchase and I wish more devices were this reliable and easy to use.

Some netflix titles dont play, when set to surround sound, on the Roku but work great on PS3. Having spotify on the "tv" is nice. Access to a lot of tv shows, but certainly not all. Does a good job at consolidating but still no service yet available to completely replace cable, depending on what shows (and quality) you like to watch. Happy I purchased but could always be better.

This is exactly what I was looking for to add Amazon Prime Instant Video to my Sharp Aquos TV. My wife and I are so happy with it that we bought a second Roku 3 for the Sharp Aquos in the Master Bedroom and I plan to send one to our son when he returns from deployment. The setup was simple but I'm an IT professional with over 40 years experience so I asked my wife (non-technically oriented) to try setting up the one in the bedroom. She set it up without in issue in about 5 minutes.

Received this as a gift and it has been a good addition to our tv viewing. I use an ethernet connection through the power line so I can't say how fast it would be wirelessly, but the connection and streaming speed through the ethernet is very good.

We have had this for about 6 weeks. It has worked flawlessly and offers great value. minimal investment and no monthly cost. Many channels are available free. If you are wanting to eliminate or reduce your cable bill, this is a great place to start!
