I got a Roku 3 for Christmas and LOVE it. The new interface is flawless, search is easy, and the HD streaming comes in crystal clear. Switching between apps is extremely fluid and fast!

While there is much more free content available on Roku3, the fact that Amazon Instant Video is available makes this product a bit better than AppleTV. As a AmzPrime member, AppleTV experience will always be lacking. The Netflix interface is about comparable to AppleTVs. Love the ROKU3!

Due to increased cost of cable TV I bought this device and eliminated my cable account. The setup was easy and I now can view TV programs that I really enjoy.

I bought this a week ago and it works fine only thing to improve is the remote. Remote is so flimsy and if you add extra features with durable buttons this would be a great product

Couldn't ask for more from the operation of the unit but please work with Comcast to get them on as a TV Provider for things like HBO Go, Fox Now etc.
I love this unit!!

I got mine as a Christmas gift, Before that I was streaming Netflix on the kids WII and NHL via Chrome cast. While all of that worked it was a pain in the neck. (but way better than paying cable co rates). Now its all in one place and added Pandora and Amazon Prime, and HULU. There are hundreds of channels to pick from and its super simple to add/delete them as necessary. If I could add one thing to the ROKU it would be the ability to turn the TV on and off and adjust the sound level. That would eliminate another remote to deal with. Overall I love this device and would highly recommend to any looking to "cut the cable"!

We bought our first Roku about 9 months ago, After we learned the power it has, we bought one for every TV in the house. It turns your "Dumb" TV into a "Smart" TV.

Very useful, but it won't replace your cable

Roku is great for accessing all of your subscription services in one place, Netflix, Hulu etc... It is also useful for renting movies that are not available through cable on demand service, although some movies are still tough to find or not available. Being able to watch Youtube on your television is also a nice feature. Many of the free channels Roku offers are somewhat useless and there is a lot of what I call "filler." Channels that you'll never watch or that don't provide much of anything. The only major disappointment is that networks don't seem to offer past season catch ups or new episodes through Roku channels. Also, live sports and network news are not available, so if you are one of those people who think this box will replace your cable you will be disappointed. Even if you just wanted it for TV and movies, not all shows are available on Netflix or Hulu and subscribing to both of those plus Amazon Prime and a movie rental site will likely cost you the same as just subscribing to cable. In short, it is a nice addition but it isn't going to save you $$ on your cable bill.
As for the box itself it is compact and sleek. The remote could stand to be a little bigger. I lose it- a lot, and it is a bit tedious to have to type in searches, passwords and log ins letter by letter. I do enjoy the headset feature as well.
