Can't believe what we've been missing

We aren't youngsters. Our 2nd TV (one less used) - bought during the stone age -finally broke, and we bought a Vizio. WIRELESS WONDERS! Sofor Christmas we bought a Roku3 for our 1st TV, a Panasonic. EVEN better than the Vizio! So many choices... synced beautifully with the new remote, a Logitech. Would give it SIX stars if I could.

Bought it four weeks ago and immediately cut my cable account down to bare essentials, now only watch local and national news and a few network series. I get most of what I want rest from netflix ,acorn and plex. I just wish I could get Hulu plus in Canada I would not need to have cable at all.

Nice for viewing Netflix

We have always watched Netflix movies on our little computer screens. Now we can watch them easily on our TV! We love that.
Most of the free channels (except PBS and a couple others) are disappointing/very mediocre. We haven't found the Roku to be very useful except for streaming just a few things, but the affordable price for the Roku makes it worth having.
One thing we get a little irritated with is how difficult it is to search for words and phrases on the Roku. You enter words by navigating around an onscreen keyboard and entering one letter at a time. It is a tedious process. Occasionally when we need to re-enter a netflix username and password, it takes us at least a couple minutes+ to put the information in.
Overall, though, we are happy to have the Roku.
